AQUA KENT RO PURIFIER’S DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY REVOLUTIONISES WATER PURIFICATION

REVOLUTIONISING and reinventing the way we drink purified water has Aqua Kent RO incorporating digital technology into their water purification systems. Amazing, diligent, timely and a spectacular inclusion which water purifiers can no longer ignore.
Over the years, the company which has been active in medical equipment supply to hospitals around the country had to come to terms with the dire demand for clean and pure water by hospitals and consumers.
This led them to embarking on research to understand in depth about unpurified and purified water and to eventually discover the new generation consumers who have begun to develop the need for high quality purified water that is clean and healthy for consumption.
The company proceeded with mineral reverse osmosis and brought about numerous solutions to the many drawbacks and limitations most water purifiers were facing.
The great demand for completely purified water bolstered the company to re-design and carve technology into their revolutionary water purifier — the Aqua Kent RO — fast being recognised as purified RO water that continues to retain minerals in the water, combats all negative elements, kills off bacteria, removes chlorine and ultimately delivers refreshing, clean and purified water for drinking and health.
Kent RO’s innovative RO technology incorporation into mineral RO water has become one of several firsts in the market with its technology breakthrough — the patented TDS Controller.
It has developed a ground-breaking, trend-setting internationally certified and recognised double-filtration technology that removes dissolved impurities while retaining essential natural minerals with its patented TDS Controller.
The other profound introduction, another first by Kent RO, is a computer-controlled patented mineral RO technology that allows an alarm to pre-warn users of the water filter to get in touch with Aqua Kent RO service centre. This alerts the consumer to contact the Aqua Kent RO immediately to service and replace filters.
This computerised trigger system helps avoid the hassle of service technicians visiting your homes at odd hours, causing incovenience.
With constant improvement and the growing trend in water purification technology, Aqua Kent RO continues to monitor and improve drinking water quality to ensure consumers continue to receive only good drinking water that is impurities-free, bacteria-free and chlorine-free while essential natural minerals in water are maintained.
From wherever or whatever the source of water may be, Kent RO purifies the water via sediment and activated carbon filters before being rushed through into reverse osmosis (RO) process where the filtered water also shunts through a UF filter to remove bacteria and cysts before it goes through the patented TDS (total dissolved solids) Controller (another first by Aqua Kent RO) that ensures retention of essential minerals. The purifed water then goes through the ultimate stage — the UV — where all bacteria and viruses are killed in the process which is called double purification.
While the Kent RO water filters are manufactured in India, the high-definition filters and membranes are imported from the United States where high standards and stringent quality tests and control are a priority. These filters and membranes have to be approved and certified by water quality experts who ensure that these commensurate with US and international standards. Kent’s RO purifiers are certified and awarded the internationally renowned Gold seal of the WQA and the NSF, USA.
Aqua Kent RO mineral water purifiers come in a wide range of models to suit every home, office or corner. Aqua Kent RO water purifiers operate from a DC supply and do not require high AC power, thus saving on electricity costs.
It is common knowledge that every RO water purifier, no matter the brand, incurs waste water drainage as it outputs purified water for consumption.
With the Kent RO mineral water purifier, the drained water during the RO process is cleverly recovered into a built-in storage tank (usually 50%) that can be re-used for other purposes while the purified water flows into Aqua Kent’s extra large capacity water storage tanks that can make available purified drinking water at anytime. It is interesting to note that this “recovery” of water is also computer-controlled.
Though purified water in some of Kent’s models is made available only at room temperature, one can of course have the option of either boiling or chilling it.
Exciting as it gets along, Kent mineral water purifiers further “tease” you with transparent casing (body) so that you can actually view all six built-in filters at work thus understanding the filtration process — yet another first by any water purifier.

All Kent mineral water purifiers come with smart auto “on and off” convenience.
Almost all Kent RO water filter models possess an average 15 litres per hour high purification capacity and 8 litres high capacity storage tanks. Most are designed for wall mounting for ease of operation and convenience while selected models are also designed to go above the counter or under the counter. Other simple models come with built-in water filters for direct piping hot and cold water dispensers which are popular with offices and homes too.
Aqua Kent also markets gravity-aided water filter dispensers (normal filtered water) that is economical and most suited for students and people on the move.
Aqua Kent also provides customers who may wish to have an outdoor water filter unit that would supply filtered water for the whole house. Besides their range of exciting models designed for in-house and at-office installations, Aqua Kent RO provides solution to customers and clients who may require outdoor units or even “custom-made” units so as to continue providing what they specialise in — safe and clean pure water to a whole cross-section of the Malaysian community.

6 #Facts We Bet Malaysians Didn’t Know About The Water They’re Drinking Every Day

Water is a huge part of our everyday life and it’s a basic necessity that we simply can’t do without. The body of an adult male is comprised of 60% water and the average female at approximately 55%. If the water levels within our system drops below this percentage, we would encounter health problems and even possibly, death.
Hence, it is particularly important for Malaysians to drink enough water each day, what with our warm and humid weather. Needless to say, we need water to function, but there are some myths about water that we’re commonly led to believe.
So our friends at Aqua Kent decided to share with us 6 facts about water that Malaysians probably didn’t know about.

1. We don’t have to drink 8 glasses of water a day.

The common myth is that we have to drink 8 glasses of water a day in order to stay healthy (confirm your mom nags you all the time about this). BUT you don’t actually need exactly 8 glasses of water a day and in certain instances, you might even require slightly more.
The amount varies from person to person, depending on how thirsty one feels throughout the day and also one’s gender and body size. For instance, men with larger builds would require about 3 litres a day.
3 litres of water a day sounds like A LOT, but don’t worry, we consume plenty of other beverages such as coffee and tea each day, and these add up too!

2. We can only survive for 3–5 days without water.

Nope, we won’t die within 24 hours without water.
Although we would be severely dehydrated, we would actually be able to survive for up to 5 days without water. There has been cases where those stranded on a deserted island make do with coconut water instead and this would prolong one’s survival period.
So Bear Grylls didn’t have to drink his own urine after all…

3. Boiled water is not completely safe to consume.

Boiling water is the most traditional way of making it safe to drink. However, even water which has been boiled might not be 100% healthy.
We spoke to Azmina, an expert from Aqua Kent, a Malaysian water dispenser supplier, and she told us, “If water is boiled for some time, it kills the bacteria present but the water is still not 100% pure. When boiled, the toxic waste and chemicals still won’t be removed from the water,”
So here’s a warning for you if you stay in a university hostel, refilling your kettle with tap water to boil and drink isn’t the best idea!

4. Drinking unfiltered water is more harmful than you’d think.

The water we get from our taps contain unseen bacteria and viruses. In layman terms, we’re pretty much drinking TOXIC if the water we consume does not go through a proper filtration process.

Azmina mentioned, “A good water filter should be able to remove suspended particles, microorganisms, excess salt and chemicals such as chlorine. It is also able to retain the essential minerals at the same time. The best water filter however should be able to remove even viruses and bacteria that normal filters cannot remove.”
Yup, these water filters are doing the dirty job for ya, removing even unwanted particles that aren’t visible to the naked eye.

5. The right water filter makes a HUGE difference.

Have you guys seen those ads about disgusting water filters?

It’s actually damn gross and ain’t nobody gonna want to drink water which has been passed through such a filthy dispenser.
Azmina further explains the harmful effects to not getting a right water filter by stating that we are basically exposing ourselves to harmful concentrations of chemicals and pathogenic microorganisms. “The presence of contaminants in water can lead to adverse health effects including gastrointestinal illnesses, reproductive problems, and neurological disorders,” she said.
All of these health problems just by drinking water which has not undergone the proper filtration process. GUYS, do you legit see how SERIOUS this is?!?

6. RO water is good for consumption, if it’s NOT demineralised.

RO water stands for water which has undergone the Reverse Osmosis process. It’s different from other forms of water filtration processes because it goes through a multi-stage purification process. It is also able to remove the metal and chemical waste present in water as well as kill the bacteria present.
The only disadvantage to the RO process is that beneficial essential minerals may get flushed out along during this process.
Azmina shared, “The main health advantage RO water has over tap water is that an RO system removes many unhealthy contaminants. For example, the Kent RO water filter system can remove contaminants such as arsenic, nitrates, pesticides, sodium, copper and lead as well as organic chemicals.”
In their quest to supply the best water filters to Malaysians, Kent invented a technology called KENT’s Mineral RO + UV Technology and this technology enables one to safely drink Reverse Osmosis (RO) purified water.
And to make sure that the water is not demineralised, that’s where KENT’s Mineral RO Technology comes into play.
Kent RO Malaysia’s water purifiers are built with a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) controller. Basically, what this does is retain the essential minerals in the water.
The main health advantage of the resulting H2O we consume is that it is free of contaminants such as arsenic, nitrates, pesticides and lead but still has the minerals we need.

It could also be the answer to many Malaysians’ excuse to not drinking enough water each day.
Okay, if all this reading in your head’s making you a little thirsty, go get yourself a glass of water ‘cause you damn right deserve it.
